Final Postings

Round #1 is over, and I have 2-1/2 hours to spare! I loved going on this little scavenger hunt with Amy and felt that I really expanded my photo horizons in playing. For those who would like to see Amy's contributions (and there are many great ones), you can view her site by clicking here. I have posted a list of my favorites of hers on her site and plan to do so on my site in a few days after I have heard from some of you what you liked (I don't want to sway your opinions). Let me know if you want to join us for round #2. Thanks for a great challenge, Amy!

Hi Sarah,

Yes, this has been a BLAST!! I agree - I've loved "finding" other pictures to take besides my family. They are out there - you just have to look. :)

Ok, I'll follow suit and talk about my favorites of yours:

Best Use of Theme: I guess my favorite for this is "Three's a Charm." I thought that one was sooo creative. It was so easy to find "3" of anything and take a picture, but you took it a step further and took a picture of several "3s." Awesome! Runner up is "Delicate." Again, it was easy to find something delicate but you chose a very tough, moving target. And so true!!

Best All-Around Photograph: "Path." This one is just gorgeous. I would actually love a copy myself to blow up and hang in my home! Very nice work both technically, artistically, and compositionally.

Posting that Taught Me Something About You: "Best Time of Day" - I didn't realize you were quite the early bird! ;)

Picture that I Envy the Most: Hands down (no pun intended) - "Comfort." As I told you before, this one is just heartwarming, beautiful, touching... and so much more all rolled into one powerful photograph. In a year or two, I'll be copying this one!!

Honorable Mentions: Well, I have lots written down here that I still LOVE!! "Childhood Pleasures" - this one is a high quality photo as well as a great use of the theme (I actually love that a "child" isn't in the picture - good job!). "Peek-a-boo" - this is one of the most ADORABLE pictures of Drew EVER!!! "Perspective" - knowing Drew as I do, this one just melts my heart - impressive capture! And last but not least - "Patterns/Repitition" - I love it because I love GA football!!!! Go Dawgs!! ;)

Thanks so much for playing with me Sarah!! Even though the last few days were a little stressful in getting the final postings up, I'm already itching to start a new list! ;) I think we'll have a few more play with us next round, which will be very exciting!!!

Well, Sari, it would be easier for me to choose those I didn't like as well for I REALLY admired and enjoyed the vast majority of them.

"I'd Rather Be Here" reminded me of the naps you took as a kid, especially after your wisdom teeth were pulled and you and Brani snuggled and napped in the hammock. It is a sentimental mother's favorite.

"Path" is absolutely beautiful. I loved the perspective and the lush trees.

"Something Unique..." brings me to what I've always loved-beautiful architecture. Detail is wonderful. "Patterns/Repetitions" is another great architectural picture. I know many professionals would envy this one.

"Exploring" is a favorite because of illustrating Drew's constant exploring, always a little on the edge of danger but always with curiousity.

"Seen Better Days" is just downright fun!

But, the best to me is "Comfort." It so simply, so clearly says love, trust, guidance. It says volumes.

How nice to be able to learn while you had so much fun. I'm really impressed with the great job you did!
